Site Manager

A well-established residential builder with a reputation for delivering townhouse and multi-unit, medium-density projects in Melbourne's West and North. They are in a strong growth period and have already secured work well into 2025! With a culture that emphasises the importance of teamwork and collaboration and strong procedures and policies to ensure quality projects, this company has a fantastic future ahead of them.

THE ROLE

As a Site Manager for this company, you will be reporting to and working in conjunction with a supportive Construction Manager. They currently have opportunities for multiple Site Managers with their Medium Density projects, in the Melbourne's west and north . The ideal person will have experience with:

• All aspects of general building to lead and manage a team of qualified subcontractors
• Managing day-to-day construction process
• Liaising with trades, labour, and supply-chain
• Ensuring that client contracts, schedules, and plans are completed on time and within a budget to produce completed projects, ready for handover
• Complying with all OHS/WHS regulations at all times.
• Ensuring that the required documentation and paperwork is completed during the building process
• Inspecting completed work to ensure a high standard of quality workmanship

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you will be required to have the following:

• Experience in the construction industry with a proven track record with volume or multi-story development projects is a must
• Tradie background or relevant academic qualification
• Ability to bring trades to the company, if needed (i.e. concreters/framers/bricklayers/tilers/painters/fix carpenters)
• Strong customer-focused and people-savvy ability, with a proven record of managing projects effectively
• Proven OHS capabilities - Manage day-to-day safety on-site. Inductions/SWMS reviews/toolbox talks/weekly walks/complete daily site diary
• High attention to detail and ability to identify defects - Responsible for QA write-ups with a Zero defects mentality
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• The successful applicant will need to be punctual, self-motivated, possess good communication skills, and enjoy working to high standards
