At 9Yards , demand for Solution Architecture capability continues to accelerate—particularly across banking, financial services, superannuation and insurance organisations. While some programs in the market are winding down, our clients are actively winding up , creating an immediate need for experienced Solution Architects who can step in and deliver value quickly.

We’re seeking end-to-end Solution Architects to join our expanding team, supporting multiple high-impact engagements across regulated and complex environments. Opportunities are available on a permanent or long-term contract basis , with flexibility across part-time or full-time allocations . Remote and hybrid working arrangements are supported , and immediate availability is highly regarded .

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Translating business requirements into practical, end-to-end solution designs
  • Designing solutions across applications, data, integration, security, and infrastructure domains
  • Contributing to the strategic direction of technology investments and platform decisions
  • Identifying system, infrastructure, and delivery interdependencies to ensure successful outcomes
  • Supporting architecture governance, design forums, and delivery teams
  • Working closely with business stakeholders, delivery leads, and enterprise architects
  • Applying reference architectures, design principles, and standards to drive consistency and quality
  • Helping clients understand that technology is an enabler—not the outcome

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years’ experience as an end-to-end Solution Architect
  • Strong preference for experience within banking, superannuation, insurance or financial services
  • Proven experience designing solutions across information & data, integration, security, infrastructure, and operations
  • Ability to balance strategic intent with pragmatic, delivery-focused design
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and consulting skills
  • A collaborative, proactive mindset with a focus on achieving client outcomes
  • Comfort working across multiple engagements and stakeholders
  • Immediate availability or ability to commence at short notice is highly desirable
