Are you an experienced Accountant with a background in mining or civil services? A major mining contractor is seeking a Plant Accountant to join their West Perth office on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension following a JDE integration.

About the Role

As a Plant Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial management of plant and equipment assets, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance. This position is ideal for someone with strong accounting experience in the mining, resources, or civil contracting sectors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Managing financial records related to plant and equipment assets
2. Supporting month-end and year-end financial processes
3. Assisting with fixed asset accounting and reporting
4. Working on JDE integration and system improvements
5. Preparing financial reports and reconciliations
6. Collaborating with operational teams to ensure accurate cost allocation

What We’re Looking For

1. Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting or Finance) – CA/CPA preferred but not essential
2. 3+ years of accounting experience (preferably in medium-large companies)
3. Experience in the mining and resources sector (contract mining or civil services a plus)
4. Strong understanding of fixed assets accounting
5. Experience with Pronto or JDE (highly desirable)
6. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
