We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Contract Coordinator to join our Sunshine West team. This role supports the day-to-day management and coordination of the Defence Childcare Program contract, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and high-quality outcomes.
About the role
As the Contract Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring the effective coordination, monitoring, and reporting of the Defence Childcare Program contract. You’ll work closely with the General Manager and internal teams to ensure all contractual, operational, and reporting requirements are met.
- Support the General Manager in overseeing the contractual relationship with the Department of Defence (DMFS).
- Coordinate and track contract deliverables (KPIs) to ensure all obligations are met on time.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reports, and data registers.
- Audit services due for assessment and rating to ensure National Quality Framework compliance.
- Assist with grant applications, submissions, and acquittals.
- Provide operational support, including site visits, audits, and emergency coordination.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, HR, Operations, IT) to meet service and contractual needs.
- Contribute to compliance monitoring, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
About you
You are an organised and proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’re confident managing multiple priorities and have a keen eye for detail. You enjoy building strong relationships, solving problems, and supporting others to achieve operational excellence.
A relevant tertiary qualification in business administration or early childhood education and care.Experience in contract coordination, administration, or procurement support, ideally within a not-for-profit or large service organisation.Understanding of the early childhood education sector and associated regulatory frameworks.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with stakeholders.Proven ability to manage reporting deadlines, documentation, and compliance requirements.High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and excellent time management.Advanced computer literacy, including experience with Microsoft Office and data management systems.National Police Clearance no older than 6 monthsWWCC for Victoria and willing to obtain for NSW, QLD, WA, NT & ACTWhy join One Tree?
