Additional Information :

These roles are Permanent Part-time, 40hrs / fortnight.

The internal job title for this role is IKEA Food Co-worker.

As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts ranging from 7 : 30am to 9 : 30pm. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month (both Saturday and Sunday).

You are required to have full-day availability on Tuesdays and Wednesday to be considered for this role.

RECRUITMENT PROCESS

If you are successful for this role, you will be required to attend a 2-day Welcome induction.

If you are successful, your shifts will commence from Monday 22 July .

About this work area

As an IKEA Food Co-worker your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to :

Operating the industrial dishwashing machine and sorting cutlery.

You will maintain much of your time working between pot wash and dish wash, where you will be washing and cleaning commercial cooking pots, utensils & equipment.

You must be comfortable standing and working at the sink, as this is where your main duties will preside.

Ensuring your area is efficiently maintained in compliance with Food standards by keeping it clean, organised, attractive and inviting to provide a positive customer experience.

Food preparation, cooking (operations of ovens and fryers), serving and customer service with a focus on food safety, controlling waste, and following production levels and cooking methods.

As an IKEA Food Co-worker, you are or have :

Passionate, committed, and have a love for food in its quality and presentation.

Experienced with working in a fast paced, hands-on environment. Previous hospitality and cookery experience is highly regarded.

Enthusiastic about working within a team of like-minded people.

Able to follow strict IKEA Food and HACCP policies and daily operational routines around quality and food safety, including temperature and date checks.
