FIFO Test & Tag Electrician - 2-3 month contract

NW Mining & Civil are urgently seeking an Electrician for a short term contract at a remote site 6 hours outside of Mount Isa. Due to the immediacy of the start, applicants must be able to provide a copy of any medical from within the last 2 years.

The role involves testing electrical cables and equipment as part of the large scale demolition of an old plant, along with test & tag of all the electrical equipment being used on the job, and other ad hoc duties as required.

No prior mining or industrial experience is necessary, what matters most is a strong commitment to safety, the ability to work autonomously and good communication skills.

Roster will be 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off, meals & accommodation provided while on shift. Local Mt Isa applicants are preferred, but flights are available from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns.

All shifts are 12 hour days, $55 / hr flat rate.

• Current LRV / CPR (within 12 months)
• Current drivers licence
• Construction white card
