Our client is seeking an experienced insurance broker to step into a Senior Team Leader position, acting as a 2IC within this dynamic firm. The role is ideal for a client facing senior Account Manager / Executive with proven leadership experience, passionate about mentoring teams, enhancing client services, and contributing to strategic growth.

You will work closely with the Managing Director, providing leadership oversight, developing staff, and helping steer the business forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a book of clients
  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of brokers to meet performance and client service targets
  • Act as second-in-command to the MD, assisting with strategic planning and decision-making
  • Oversee the quality of client placements and service standards
  • Drive new business growth and retain existing clients through exceptional relationship management
  • Participate in weekly leadership meetings, fostering continuous improvement and innovation
  • Troubleshoot complex accounts, providing broking support and technical expertise
  • Support onboarding and ongoing development of team members
  • Cultivate a collaborative, accountable, and customer-focused team culture
  • Requirements

  • 6+ years’ experience in general insurance broking
  • Tier 1 Broking qualification (mandatory)
  • Proven leadership or mentoring experience, formal or informal
  • Strong technical knowledge across commercial, schemes, or niche insurance sectors
  • Proficiency in broking systems
  • A proactive and initiative-taking mindset
