Seeking a passionate leader to drive operations within local government Works Depot

  • Full time, Permanent Role
  • 114.5k - $128.4K + Superannuation
  • About the role

Our Works Depot team is looking for a suitably qualified Coordinator Operations. You will provide effective leadership through people development and expert program and project management for a variety of Works projects including programming and delivery of the operation, maintenance, repair, and renewal of Council roads and road related infrastructure including drainage, pathways, and lighting to agreed level of service and the best value for Council; Ensure Council Road Management Plan compliance including Emergency and After-Hours service response; Management of staff, procurement, contracts, and budgets associated with delivery of services; Assist in development, implementation, and monitoring of Service Level Plans; ensure service issues are attended to promptly with a high level of customer service; develop and train reporting staff that know and live the Council values and vision to deliver services safely.

  • About you
  • The position requires advanced problem solving and negotiation skills and contributes to development and interpretation of policies, guidelines. The position also acts independently in provision of technical advice to customers and stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated commitment and adherence to organisational values and behaviours.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with eligibility for Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status of Engineers Australia
  • Significant experience in Inspection, Maintenance, Repair, Renewal and construction of road and road related infrastructure.
  • High Level of Contract, Financial and Project Management experience, preferably in Local Government setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams and technical staff
  • Knowledge and experience of programs related to implementation of Road Management Plan.
  • Well-developed computer skills relevant to Civil Engineering, especially using Microsoft Windows Application.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • A current Victorian Driver's License.
