Overview
On behalf of our client, a World Leading Energy Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a HSE Specialist - Emergency Management. The position provides field execution of emergency management processes and safeguards at the LNG Plant. This will be a residential role located in Onslow for a 2 year contract working a Compressed Working Week.
Responsibilities
- Provide support and leadership to achieve an Incident and Injury Free Workplace through on-site engagements
- Champion workplace safety with a focus on preventing SIFs
- Proactively share learnings related to construction
- Ensure that the project adopts safety principles with safeguards in place and functioning
- Coaching and guidance in the safe and environmentally responsible execution of work scopes and support the execution of emergency management practices; provides day-to-day ERT business partner oversight
- Provide HSE advice and guidance to Wheatstone Plant Operations, Maintenance and Supply Chain teams with a practical focus on workforce safety, occupational hygiene, Human and Organisational Performance and environmental compliance
- Undertake safeguard assurance verification and validation activities for high-consequence work scopes
- Facilitate incident investigations and learning events using company approved methodologies (eg 5-Whys, SAFE, Why-tree and Learning Teams)
- Build productive working relationships across HSE, Business Partners and other support teams to enable alignment and efficient execution of HSE activities and processes
- Facilitate the execution of emergency management processes on-site
Requirements
Relevant qualifications in HSEPrevious experience on an Oil & Gas Facility operating site in Health, Safety and Emergency ManagementDemonstrated practical application of the Company's control of work and occupational hygiene workforce requirements and relevant Australian HSE legislation in a field environmentPractical understanding of OE management system and Human and Organisational (HOP) concepts to support fatality and serious incident preventionDemonstrated ability to influence without authority and build respectful relationships with site leaders, frontline personnel and business partnersBenefits
