About The Role

As a Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and supporting our customers' equipment, ensuring their operations run smoothly. Your expertise will help us build long-term partnerships and uphold our commitment to exceptional service.

Your Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, inspect, recondition, repair, assemble, and service equipment.
  • Document machine information and repairs on work orders, including parts, time, and fluids used.
  • Maintain a clean work area and care for all shop tools, machines, and equipment.
  • Identify and communicate solutions for customer service opportunities.
  • Understand and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Manage time effectively and stay organized.
  • Process paperwork accurately, including technical, service, and warranty reports.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations.
  • Your Skills And Attributes

  • Relevant Trade Certificate (Heavy Diesel Fitter, Mobile Plant Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic, or equivalent).
  • Dual trade or experience in air-conditioning and / or auto electrical work is highly regarded.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Experience in servicing and maintaining heavy diesel products, including engine overhauls and major repairs is highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of Kenworth and DAF equipment is a plus.
  • Strong customer service focus and engaging work approach.
  • Solid electrical and IT skills.
  • Mature attitude with a logical and methodical approach to work.
  • Possession of relevant tickets and licenses (e.g., High Risk Work Licence-Forklift Licence) is highly regarded.
