The Role

We’re looking for a proactive, product‑focused Java Backend Engineer who’s excited to take on multiple responsibilities and ship features that bring joy to users and value to restaurants. You’ll join a team where you’ll have real influence, wide scope, and room to grow in a fun and rewarding environment. Daily tasks include collaborating with cross‑functional teams, designing, and building advanced solutions in Java, resolving bugs, improving application performance, and implementing new features.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong proficiency in Java backend development
• Experienced with building serverless APIs
• Strong understanding of Software Development principles
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with both building and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and query tuning (MySQL, Postgres, etc.)
• Solid grasp of performance tuning and debugging
• Proficient in automated testing and writing testable code
• Familiar with modern app architectures and design patterns
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A proactive mindset, ready to roll up your sleeves
