Job description

We are currently seeking a Plant Mechanic to service our site in Somersby, NSW. We have a fleet of vehicles which consisting of Rigid Trucks, Prime Movers and Trailers, and Trailers, Forklifts and Construction and Plant equipment which we service on-site and in our in-house workshops.

The successful applicant will be provided with an equipped service vehicle and will be required to travel between our Company sites in Sydney which include St Marys, Ingleburn, Wetherill Park and Vineyard.

Scope of work

Basic and major servicing
Preventative maintenance
Accident damage and repairs
Forklift service and repairs
Scissor lift and Boom lift service and repairs
Welding, machining and fabrication
Auto electrical and Air conditioning
Hydrostatic drives, Hydraulic circuits and components

Brands of machinery we work on

Volvo, Mack, Isuzu, UD and Hino Trucks

Komatsu, Liebherr, Sennebogen, Volvo, CAT, Terex and Bobcat

Vawdrey, Barker and Freighter trailers

Linde, Toyota, Crown and Komatsu forklifts

Genie and JLG scissor lifts and boom lifts

Hammel, Komtech and Peterson Grinders

In this role you will be responsible for :

All servicing and repairs to the company's fleet, including plant, trucks, forklifts and company cars

Carrying out all repairs and maintenance (including completion of all paperwork) in a timely and professional manner

Occasional attendance at side-of-road breakdown jobs requiring repair / service

The successful applicant will have :

A trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel, Plant or Auto-Electrician Mechanic

A current MR Truck Licence

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Astrong work ethic
