WHAT YOU’LL DO

As the Communication Specialist & Press Officer you are responsible for.

Media Relations & PR Responsibilities

• Handle local media enquiries and build strong relationships.

• Pitch H&M news, fashion angles and manage reactive media communications.

• Ensure alignment with global media policies.

• Support crisis communication and after-hours press handling.

• Adapt and create press releases as needed.

• Collaborate on social media messaging with customer service.

• Supporting and executing the Corporate Social Responsibility strategy in conjunction with the PR & Communications Lead and Marketing & Communications Manager

• Supporting and executing local sustainability initiatives and communicating global Sustainability messaging to external and internal stakeholders

• Support the PR & Communications Lead with crisis communications messaging, execution and delivery

• Support the PR & Communications Lead with corporate communications messaging, leadership profiling, execution and delivery

• Maintain and develop an in-depth knowledge of the local media landscape including good relations with most important media.

Internal Communications

• You support Sales Market Communications activities within areas such as expansion, innovation, CSR, crisis communications, corporate communications, sustainability & employer branding.

• Execute and follow up on regional and global internal communications plans.

• Manage local internal communication channels, publishing both global and local content.

• Create and distribute local news to employees.

• Ensure quality and tone of voice in translations of global materials.

• Plan and deliver internal communications activities in collaboration with local departments.

• Provide internal communications guidance on Sales Market-specific topics.

Networking & Relationship Building

• Act as a brand ambassador for H&M.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with media, influencers, celebrities, and opinion leaders.

• Identify and engage with current and emerging journalists and thought leaders.

• Attend relevant events to strengthen H&M’s local network.

Follow-Up & Reporting

• Monitor and analyze local earned media coverage.

• Track and report on KPIs and project outcomes, linking them to customer value and business impact.

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

The Communications Speciailist & Press Officier is an intergral part of the PR ream and work closely with the Marketing and Comms function as well as the wider business and external stakeholders including media, influencers and KOLs.

WHO YOU ARE

We are looking for people who are…

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

• Strong in building and maintaining relationships

• Excellent in written and verbal communication

We are looking for people with…

• At least 3 years of experience in similar roles and/or within PR or Communications

• Proven experience in media relations, public relations, internal communications, and crisis communication

• A strategic mindset with strong planning and prioritization skills

• Strategic experience in corporate and fashion PR

• Experience in media monitoring and high-level analysis
