Data Analyst

Located in Sydney CBD - with access to hybrid work arrangements

Ongoing full time opportunity (35 hours per week)

Salary ranging from $106,025 to $ 117,363pa. Plus employer contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role

As Data Analyst you will perform a range of advanced data analytics functions within the division that supports performance and system monitoring including report production, analysis, data quality monitoring and data management.

You will work closely with other business units and must have the ability to communicate effectively and tailor communication to the audience.

What you’ll do

You will use your extensive knowledge and data analytic skills, to prepare, coordinate and analyse a range of reports and data to support the Division.

Working within the Data and Analytics Unit, you will perform functions in multiple work streams including:

• Undertaking data analysis to prepare clear and accessible management and operational reporting that informs decision making within the Division.
• Investigating data quality issues and implementing processes to cleanse and improve source data.
• Documenting data extraction and reporting methodologies to ensure that processes can be replicated, and underlying assumptions are transparent.
• Tailoring communication to the needs of other business units.

What we’re looking for

This is a hands-on role which requires technical expertise to support the delivery of data and analytical services. We are looking for someone who is tertiary qualified in an analytical discipline and has significant experience in data reporting and presenting insights to assist decision making.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:

• Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline or equivalent experience,
• Experience in data visualisation and analysis,
• Experience in programming languages would be an advantage,
• Experience in SAP Business Objects including Crystal Reports and Web Intelligence would be an advantage.
