  • We are looking for three new youth support workers for the Parramatta area

  • As a Youth support worker you will engage with children and young people through the following services :

  • Emergency respite care
  • providing compassionate care and supervision during challenging times.
  • Supervised contact visits
  • supervising and supporting children in their visits with their family.
  • Transport
  • transporting children and young people to complete daily activities and participate in community activities.
  • Day respite care
  • providing a fun day out for children and young people.
  • You will provide support to children and young people by :

  • Empowering young people to make positive and informed decisions.
  • Assisting in domestic tasks, shopping, cleaning, meal prep.
  • Implementing behaviour support plans.
  • Helping to keep the young people connected to their community by accompanying them to activities and appointments such as afternoon sport and speech therapy etc.
  • Administrating medication when required.
  • Write detailed and accurate shift notes.
  • Together, we can empower children and build brighter futures.

  • Essential requirements
  • A current Working With Children's Check (WWCC)
  • A current National Police Check
  • A current Drivers license, and access to a clean, road worthy vehicle for transporting children and young people when required.
  • Comprehensive car insurance on your intended work vehicle.
  • Two referees
  • Ability and willingness to support last minute shift requests.
  • A relevant industry qualification, or currently studying. This could include but is not limited to; community services, youth work, disability, early childhood education, psychology, teaching, social work and other welfare studies.
  • A current First Aid & CPR certificate.
