Position Available : Reception and Administration Assistant
Location : Moonyah – Red Hill
Employment Type : Part-time
Working Hours : 22.8 hours per week : Monday – Thursday - with the possibility of transitioning to full-time
Classification : SCHADS Level 2
About the Role :
As a Reception and Administration Assistant, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the reception and office areas.
You will assist stakeholders seeking support, including individuals in distress, by directing them to the appropriate person or service, while maintaining a high standard of confidentiality at all times.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform a range of administrative and clerical duties including filing, data entry (SAMIS), general correspondence, and other administrative tasks.
- Demonstrate The Salvation Army’s core values and behaviours in all work activities.
- Manage telephone calls professionally and courteously, ensuring messages and call direction are handled promptly and efficiently.
- Prepare documentation and data entries accurately and within required timeframes, ensuring information is accessible when needed.
- Uphold confidentiality across all areas of work.
- Within delegated authority, make decisions aligned with TSA Recovery Services and Centre policies and procedures concerning participants and staff matters.
About You :
Commitment to The Salvation Army’s Code of Conduct, including maintaining an alcohol, drug, and gambling-free workplace.Self-motivated with strong initiative and a solid work ethic.Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage positively with a wide range of individuals.Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with accounting systems and databases.Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.A flexible team player with a positive attitude.High attention to detail.Mandatory Requirements :
Experience working in an administration or office environment with a degree of autonomy.Experience in a community service or not-for-profit setting (highly regarded).Understanding of Work Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.A current driver’s licence is preferred.
