This hands‑on traineeship is your chance to make a real impact helping educate our community about recycling, sustainability and waste reduction while gaining a nationally recognised qualification and valuable on-the-job experience.

As a Trainee Waste Education Officer, you’ll be part of a dynamic, forward‑thinking team that’s passionate about making a difference. • Above award rates! Commencing salary of $1,654.80 gross per fortnight plus superannuation (at 18 years of age or older), varying rates subject to age and experience as per award provisions

The Reality Check

Let’s be real, this role is based at the Gregadoo Waste Management Facility, so yes, it’s technically “at the tip.” But it’s also where the real action happens. You’ll be part of a team that turns waste into something worthwhile, helping educate the community on how small changes can make a big difference. The office set up isn’t flashy but it’s clean, comfy and functional. There’s a good kitchen but you’ll need to pack your own lunch.
