We’re hiring a product-focused Senior Software Engineer

Tax Nuggets Academy is on a mission to save accountants from the soul‑crushing world of dull tax training. We’re a venture‑backed, fast‑growing startup with thousands of accountants trusting us to bring them engaging and accessible tax content. We’ve just rebuilt our platform from the ground up, delivering many thousands of live and on‑demand video hours to our customers daily.

You’ll own and ship features end‑to‑end used by thousands of users, and help us evolve our platform for scale. This role is an opportunity to contribute to every aspect of software delivery : product, design, engineering, devops and reliability.

This is a full‑time, permanent role for someone based in Australia (fully remote).

What you’ll do

• Own delivery of features end‑to‑end, from initial design and prototyping to production and monitoring in our full‑stack Typescript monorepo with NextJS.
• You won’t just pick up tickets. You will help shape features, deciding what we build, not just how we build it.
• Implement product analytics tools to measure impact of new and existing features.
• Help us explore pragmatic AI‑enabled features and adopt emerging best practices for AI product delivery.
• Provision and tune our GCP infrastructure as we launch new features and grow our user base.
• Improve observability, monitoring and alerting of our services so that we can better respond to operational incidents.
• Propose and implement architectural changes to make our codebase more pleasant to work in.
