Job Description

Got some time to spare and want to give back?

We're looking for a down-to-earth volunteer in South West Sydney to visit an elderly gentleman living at home. He’s after a good mate to chat with, go for a walk, possibly a visit to the pub or talk all things NRL (Especially the Illawarra Dragons!!) over a cuppa. A good listener, enjoy footy and friendly banter…this could be a great fit for you!

It’s a small commitment that can make a big difference in someone’s life.

Impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

Requirements

18 years or older

• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for 30 minutes to 1 hour visit Monday to Sunday between 9am and 5pm, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
