Major Accountabilities:
Direct the sales and marketing teams of the ANZ Vision Care business in order to extend our value share of the optical, and dry eye and ocular health (consumer eye care) market through developing and implementing appropriate strategies and activities.
- Achieve annual sales objectives in both units and dollars.
- Manage, motivate and retain a competent, well-trained sales and marketing team and develop staff for more responsibility and increased effectiveness.
- Maximize Vision Care’s reputation for customer service, encompassing technical, after sales and general services to the customers.
- Developing, maintain and grow relationships/partnerships with identified and unidentified key accounts, customers, channels and major stakeholders.
- Manage the performance and development of Operations Department staff to build expertise and operational excellence
- Control expenses to budget for the Vision Care Franchise.
- Prepare annual sales and expense budgets as well as strategic plans for the ANZ Vision Care business.
- Provide rationale, suggestion timetable, business plans for new product launches.
- Obtain from and provide pertinent information to local and corporate managers
- Plan future organizational needs, business activities and contribute towards the overall entity management effort.
- Provide input into regional and global marketing strategies and activities.
Education/Qualifications :
Minimum: Degree in Business Studies, Marketing or Commerce/Economics
Preferred : Business Studies, Majoring in Marketing
Skills/Experience:
Minimum: 5 years in a senior managerial Sales and Marketing role within a similar industry
Previous experience in OTC / Consumer
Preferred: 10 years+ in senior managerial Sales and Marketing roles with the optometry industry
