  • The Role

We are seeking an experienced ICT Technical Analyst to join the Technical Architecture team in the Defence Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program within the Chief Information Officer Group.

This is the chance to work in a small team supporting the lead system integrator on delivering key technical outcomes for Defence.

As a Technical Analyst, you will :

  • Demonstrate good understanding of cloud-based technologies and SAP solutions;
  • Demonstrate experience in an ICT support role, ideally both Infrastructure and Application tiers;
  • First level trouble shooting and incident management;
  • Raise and coordinate technical changes, including developing change artefacts;
  • Document knowledge articles and develop Standard Operating Procedures;
  • Provide input on various architecture and design work packages; and
  • Work interdependently or as part of a small team to resolve incidents.

  • ERP is a large, multi-year, complex ICT program focused on standardising and integrating Defence's finance, asset management, logistics, estate and human resource processes and systems to drive workforce efficiency and decision-making superiority.

    To enable this transformation, ERP will transition all applicable areas of the Department to a singular integrated SAP system. ERP is working across Defence to deliver ICT capability, as part of a multidisciplinary team (which includes APS, ADF and full range of industry partners).

    The ERP Program is playing a key role in helping deliver the Defence ERP SAP S / 4HANA solution. The Technical Architecture Teams work closely with the lead System Integrator to support the Technical hosting platform, including downstream services leverage to sustain a hyper cloud environment.

  • Have a positive attitude, effective communication and willing to collaborate with internal teams, lead SI and wider CIOG;
  • Work independently and in a dynamic environment to adapt to rapidly changing and evolving priorities and schedules;
  • Have technical experience in providing Cloud, Infrastructure or Application support; and
  • Have excellent time management and ability to meeting deadlines.
  • This role may be offered in Canberra or Melbourne and may require working remotely.
