As part of the ongoing growth and success of our business, an opportunity has arisen for a Director / Associate Director to join our Sydney team of our DAE national transport sector business. As part of this role, you will have a leadership role within a national team to grow our research, consulting, economic assessment and forecasting capabilities across a number of areas including:
This role will be for a person with a significant quantitative background, which will see you leading teams working with datasets, both temporal and spatial. You will be a key senior member of a national team to enhance our current capabilities and contribute both management and technical skills to widely varying project work for public and private sector clients.

About the team
You will join Australia’s largest team of economists in delivering rare insights to help public and private sector organisations plan for the future. We offer economic and policy advisory services to clients across government and the private sectors, and pride ourselves on providing the highest calibre analysis and advice. Every single day with Deloitte Access Economics (DAE) is different. Our Transport sector team works in all States and territories as well as internationally and is led by some of Australia’s leading public sector and transport economists.
The team is within the larger DAE business which works across a variety of topics (e.g. education, civil government, education, transport, infrastructure, media and technology etc.) and policy, and offer services including policy formation and validation, business case development, strategy advice, cost benefit analysis, economic impact assessment and program evaluation.

Ideally, you will have a decade or more experience in the transport / infrastructure across areas including sector public policy, economic research, data analysis or modelling and forecasting, and experience in program and project evaluation, policy assessment, investment planning as well as operational data and statistics. Knowledge of and interest in the transport and infrastructure sectors is expected.
