Job description

A leading metal fabrication manufacturer, with an emphasis on the transport, mining and defense sector. Constant development / training, fulltime hours and opportunity to learn various facets within the industry.

Environment & Renumeration :

  • Modern workshop based in Wacol.
  • Large fast paced production environment focused on safety and quality.
  • 33 per hour day / $37 per hour afternoon shift, overtime with penalties
  • Fulltime hours, Monday to Friday, 7am to ;
  • This is a temp to permanent position for the right candidate

About you :

  • Must have a minimum of 12 months dedicated Laser Machine operation experience.
  • You will be extremely reliable, safety orientated, possess a strong work ethic and have a great attitude. In return, you will be rewarded with a real career development & training.
  • Forklift license required

    • The Role :

  • Operation of a Laser cutting machine, ensuring that a quality product is produced in the correct quantity as per the drawing and work instruction.
  • Adjusting the machine as required for different material types. Dry running the program to prove it is correct.
  • Loading and unloading the machine with the correct stock. Checking dimensions during the production run.
  • Operation of a Laser machine to produce sheet metal products
  • Downloading and running programs
  • loading and unloading the machine :
  • Cleaning and basic maintenance of the machine and immediate work area.
