About The Role

The Engagement and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for leading high‑quality engagement, design and communications to enhance Council’s reputation, engage residents in the work of council, and proactively promote Council and the Inner West local government area. The position will lead all aspects of community engagement in an effort to engage with residents, businesses, and local organisations to foster a sense of community involvement. Together with the Engagement team, it will develop and deliver outreach programmes, town hall meetings, surveys, and other engagement activities to gather feedback to assist in decision making of Council.

Remuneration

$124,411.56 – $138,824.92 + 12% Superannuation

Some Of The Required Skills, Experience And Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in communications, social sciences or other related disciplines, or significant relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated practical experience in the delivery, execution and evaluation of strategic engagement projects
  • Ability to provide strategic engagement advice to leadership and staff, and expertise and support to internal groups on managing complex and sensitive issues.
  • Experience in social media, digital communications, marketing and / or public relations, including the production of digital, marketing and other promotional materials
  • Extensive experience in developing and managing a brand and developing innovative and engaging content to deliver messages to various stakeholders.
  • Experience and skills in project management, risk management, and strategic planning including experience in research and data analysis
  • Demonstrated experience in using digital engagement platforms including developing and managing online engagement tools and content management systems
