We are Australia’s largest pure-play coal producer generating over $10 billion in Foreign Direct Investment; owning, operating or participating in coal mines across NSW, Queensland and Western Australia. Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW) is an open cut mine located 15 kilometres south-west of Singleton in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. MTW relies on both dragline and load haul systems for continuous operations and employs approximately 1,450 people who reside in local and surrounding communities.

Job Tasks And Responsibilities

We are seeking a passionate Training Officer to join the team at Mount Thorley Warkworth (MTW). This role reports to the site Training Supervisor. As part of the Health, Safety and Training team, the Training Officer will ensure all training developed or conducted on site is in alignment with the site Training and Competency Management Scheme, Yancoal values, and relevant site department goals & objectives.

In Particular, You Will Be Required To

• Develop, review and deliver internal training across site;
• Deliver training and assessment in isolation, site induction, contractor supervision & light vehicle operations;
• Maintain legislative and regulatory standards for training documents and procedures;
• Source, arrange and coordinate external training as well as involvement with training audits; and
• Coach and provide feedback to stakeholders and training participants.
