Are you passionate about the environment and looking for a rewarding career where you can contribute to sustainability efforts? We're seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Rental Technician in the environmental services industry.

We are an Australian owned specialist rental business, supplying premium scientific monitoring equipment used in the assessment, remediation and management of land and groundwater. As a Rental Technician, you'll have the opportunity to work with specialised equipment and technologies while making a positive impact on the environment.

Key Responsibilities

Based in South Melbourne, in this role you will work closely with our rental and service team to provide assistance in the daily operations and deliverables of the business. This includes;

  • Timely and accurate check in of rental equipment
  • Cleaning, testing and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Calibration of gas detection and water quality equipment
  • Packing equipment and consumables for client projects
  • Providing technical support and assistance to customers on equipment operation
  • Developing and strengthening client relationships
  • Deliveries and collections (using our own mid-size delivery van)

This is a busy and varied role which requires a reliable, positive and self-managed individual with the ability and willingness to manage multiple priorities and challenges throughout the course of a day. A high level of attention to detail and quality control are essential.

Qualifications / Skills / Experience

We are a results driven team that strive to outperform the expectations of our clients. Your professional and friendly approach, customer service focus and team oriented mindset will set you up to succeed along with;

  • Current Victorian driver's license
  • Prior experience in a service, rental, maintenance or related field is advantageous
  • Computer literacy
  • Tertiary or vocational studies in electronics or environment preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to safety and quality control
