Senior Analyst, Enterprise Risk and Compliance

ASX is seeking a Senior Analyst, Enterprise Risk and Compliance. This is a 2nd line role within the Risk division at ASX, who will support the implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management framework and strategy. Working closely with both line 2 and line 1 risk management teams and business SMEs to ensure governance, reporting, and education elements of the enterprise risk plan are appropriately implemented across ASX.

What You'll Do

  • Define, develop and embed the risk frameworks, associated tools, and regular reporting to management, the board and group executives on the risk profile of the company.
  • Work closely with line 1 and line 2 risk personnel, SMEs and management to support successful delivery of the enterprise risk strategy, and enhance risk management across the business.
  • Review risk and control assessments to ensure they’re complete, of high quality and align to framework requirements.
  • Support the delivery of monthly and quarterly risk reporting to the board, management committees and the Executive team.
  • Support management in performing deep dives as well as reviewing, challenging the quality of information present in ASX's GRC tool.
  • Provide analysis and insights on the data sourced from the GRC tool for senior leaders.
  • Assist in efforts to promote best practice risk management, including risk culture, throughout ASX.

What You'll Need

Must have

  • Gained experience in Line 1, Line 2 risk or Audit function within the financial services Industry or consulting firm(s).
  • Experience in designing and testing controls through internal control assurance, regulatory and / or internal audits.
  • Gained experience in root cause analysis and critical thinking.
  • Demonstrated the ability to build strong internal relationships and collaborate and work effectively across teams.
  • Ability to effectively plan and prioritise work, a demonstrated ability to deliver to deadlines.
  • Communication skills – excellent oral, written and presentation.
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Nice to have

  • Exposure to risk transformation or regulatory remediation programs.
  • Knowledge and / or experience in exchange, trading and / or clearing and settlement processes.
  • Experience in development of GRC tooling and associated implementation.
  • Experience designing, developing, and maintaining reports and dashboards using Power BI.
