Resort : Perisher | Hotham

Employment Type : Part Time & Casual Time Roles Available | Winter Seasonal

Season Commences : Mid–Late June

Cook With Purpose in the Heart of the Mountain

Our Cooks are a vital part of the ski resort kitchen, delivering quality meals to guests and teams in a fast‑paced, high‑energy alpine environment. From early mornings to peak service periods, this role is perfect for someone who thrives under pressure, takes pride in their craft, and enjoys being part of a close‑knit seasonal team

What You'll Do

  • Prepare and cook menu items to recipe, quality, and presentation standards
  • Support high‑volume service during peak breakfast, lunch, and après periods
  • Maintain clean and safe food preparation areas, equipment, and appliances
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating stock deliveries
  • Work collaboratively with Kitchen Hands, Chefs, and front‑of‑house teams
  • Complete end‑of‑shift cleaning and closing procedures

What You'll Bring

  • Required - Food Safety Certificate (completed in the last two years) - For the state you will be working in - See -Do Food Safely (VIC Resorts) or Do Food Safely (NSW Resorts)
  • Proven experience as a Cook in a commercial kitchen environment
  • The ability to thrive in a busy, fast‑paced resort or hospitality setting
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to multitask under pressure
  • Clear communication skills and a positive, team‑first attitude
  • A commitment to food safety, hygiene, and safe work practices
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, nights, weekends, and peak season periods
