Job description

Our client is a leading provider in asset preservation and remediation and are seeking an experienced QA Officer to support blasting and painting works across marine projects. This role reports to the Project Manager and plays a critical part in maintaining quality, safety, and technical standards in completing works on-site.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Ensure all project activities are executed in accordance with approved plans, procedures, and specifications.
  • Monitor blasting and painting works for full compliance with quality standards and technical requirements.
  • Champion a strong safety culture and promote a collaborative team environment.
  • Drive the execution of ITPs while ensuring all quality, safety, environmental, and technical commitments are consistently upheld.
  • Participate in task planning, perform risk assessments, and lead regular quality audits to uphold compliance.
  • Conduct inspections of materials and verify documentation against project technical specifications.
  • Identify and report non-conformances, manage corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution.

What You'll Bring :

  • NACE Coating Inspector Program (CIP) Level 2 certification is required.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline are highly regarded.
  • Hands-on experience in infrastructure, marine, or asset remediation projects involving blasting, painting, and concrete repair.
  • Solid technical understanding of surface preparation, protective coatings, application processes, and hazardous substance management.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership capabilities.
  • Proficient in quality systems, including QA / QC documentation and ITPs.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Suite.
