Be ready to step into exciting laboratory opportunities as they arise over the next 12 months. This talent pool connects skilled and motivated Technical Officers with upcoming roles, offering flexibility, career progression and the chance to work at the forefront of genetics and molecular diagnostics.
As a Technical Officer (TGO1 / TGO2), you’ll be part of a welcoming, collaborative laboratory team that plays a vital role in supporting patient care across South Australia. Each day offers variety, purpose and hands‑on work, as you apply your technical skills, practical knowledge and attention to detail to pathology testing and laboratory activities. Working independently or alongside experienced colleagues, you’ll help deliver accurate, timely results while continuing to build your capability through shared learning and on‑the‑job experience within SA Pathology.
At the TGO2 level, this role provides the opportunity to step into greater responsibility, applying technical judgement, contributing to service improvements and leading minor technical projects. You’ll work closely with scientific, medical and operational teams, as well as external partners, to solve problems, clarify testing requirements and keep laboratory services running smoothly. If you enjoy teamwork, take pride in quality outcomes and want a role where your work genuinely matters, this is an opportunity to grow, connect and make a meaningful difference every day.
You’re a motivated and reliable Technical Officer who enjoys working in a laboratory environment and takes pride in producing high‑quality, accurate work. Roles are available at TGO1 and TGO2 level, with appointment made based on your qualifications, experience and demonstrated capability.
