Our opportunity

As Solution Engineer, Construction Operating Platform , you will be responsible for functional and technical support, enhancement and platform optimisation to maximise business value and platform usability.

Working within a small agile team the Solution Engineer will serve as an expert on our construction platform and will contribute to making Mirvac’s construction operating platform accessible, reusable, secure and modern so that it better enables products and outcomes and ensures the integrity of Mirvac’s Construction Systems and Data.

Your responsibilities will include :

  • Partner with the Development and Construction teams to understand operational and technical needs
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business-oriented language for stakeholders
  • Contribute to the delivery of construction platform requirements through solution engineering focusing on reusability across products and outcomes.
  • Conducting analysis of solution requirements of both simple and complex work packages in accordance with agreed standards.
  • Developing solution designs, for specific work packages
  • Executing on solution designs via coding and testing in accordance with agreed standards.
  • Engineering solutions that minimise technical debt and maximise release velocity.
  • Contribute to promoting and maintaining Mirvac’s coding and design standards.
  • Performance of technical tasks, including unit test functions, and release management to support internal quality control outcomes in accordance with agreed standards.
  • Active participation in user story refinement to sufficiently shape story outcomes and size.
  • Proactively voice blockers and barriers to progress or completion of user stories early.
  • Active participation in sprint reviews to showcase what’s been achieved in the sprint.
  • Active participation in the sprint retrospective to enhance team velocity.
  • Collaboration with vendor teams, platform teams and business stakeholders to represent end user feedback and sentiment, and ensure solution feasibility
  • Identify platform enhancements that will improve the user experience and enable a more accessible, stable, secure and supportable platform.

    We are ideally seeking a professional with either a Solution Engineer background or a Construction Operations professional such as a Document Controller, Contract Administrator, or a similar role with a keen interest in digital technology.

    If you are a Construction professional, you will also have :

  • Proven Project and / or Contract Administration experience with, ideally 5+ years supporting projects in construction
  • Solid knowledge of construction software eg; RIB CX, Aconex, TeamBinder, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud)
  • A proactive and collaborative mindset you’re someone who gets things done
  • A strong desire develop technical capability

    • If you are a Solution Engineer, you will also have :

  • Previous experience implementing and supporting operational systems, with a focus on delivering valuable, user-friendly, robust, and stable solutions
  • A keen interest in understanding and supporting Construction Project Management Solutions (e.g., RIB CX, Aconex, TeamBinder, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud) noting experience with any of these would be ideal.
