Hope Community Services, in partnership with Yorgum Healing Services and a consortium of specialist organisations, is excited to launch the new Armadale Family and Domestic Violence Hub. This innovative, multidisciplinary and multicultural service will provide coordinated, trauma-informed support for women and children experiencing family and domestic violence.

About the Role

As the Senior Safety Advocate, you will play a key leadership role in delivering culturally safe, client-centred support to women and children experiencing family violence. You will guide the Safety Advocate team, oversee case management quality, and ensure best practice approaches in risk assessment, safety planning and client engagement.

This is a meaningful opportunity to contribute to a new community-focused service while working within a supportive, culturally diverse team under the leadership of the FDV Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide practice leadership, supervision, and support to Safety Advocates
• Coordinate referrals, undertake intake and complete risk/needs assessments
• Lead weekly intake and review meetings
• Oversee, implement and evaluate case management plans
• Engage clients with compassion, trust-building and trauma-informed practice
• Support women and children to enhance safety and access essential services
• Make warm referrals to partner and external services
• Ensure all work aligns with the WA Family & Domestic Violence Common Risk Assessment and Risk Management Framework
• Maintain accurate documentation, reports and data collection
• Deliver culturally safe services and manage an appropriate caseload

You’ll Need

Essential:

• Relevant social services qualification or significant experience
• Strong cultural knowledge, skills and networks
• Experience working in family and domestic violence contexts
• Experience supporting both survivors and men who use violence
• C/A class driver’s licence
• Working with Children Check
• National Police Certificate (within 3 months)
• Current First Aid Certificate

Desirable:

• Experience with WA FDV Common Risk Assessment & Risk Management Framework
• Knowledge of Equal Opportunity principles
