  • Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of advanced and routine surgeries, including soft tissue, orthopaedic, and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with veterinary professionals to diagnose and treat complex medical and surgical cases.
  • Maintain excellent client communication throughout the surgical process, from initial consultation to post-operative care.
  • Ensure that surgical protocols are followed, and patient safety is prioritised at all times.
  • Guide and support the continuing education and professional development of the surgical staff.
  • Work in collaboration with hospital leadership to support the hospital's growth and enhance the surgical service offering.

  • About You
  • Qualifications
  • DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree with an active license to practice veterinary medicine in Victoria.
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of surgical experience, including expertise in soft tissue, orthopaedic, and emergency surgeries with a minimum 5 years' experience as a Lead Surgeon
  • Exceptional diagnostic and clinical skills with the ability to handle complex cases.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with veterinary professionals and support staff.
