The Opportunity
We are on the lookout for an experienced, trade qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our Wacol branch workshop team as a Leading Hand. This role will see you lead a highly skilled workshop crew performing assembly, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of construction equipment.
Responsibilities
Leading a team of Workshop technicians to meet, deliver and exceed service expectationsDriving a safety-first culture within the departmentLiaising with technical support staff and coordinating diagnostics, maintenance and repair workManaging work schedules and daily workshop activities to ensure efficient utilization of equipment and resourcesLiaise with stakeholders pertaining to machine performance, product, workmanship, and warrantyEnsure housekeeping practices are adhered toOversee & coordinate the learning & development of apprenticesEnsure that the quality of our product & workmanship is maintained at the highest levelAs the ideal candidate
Hold relevant Australian (or Australian recognised) heavy diesel or mobile plant trade qualificationsEarthmoving equipment experience is requiredNatural leadership skills & an ability to influence people.
