Both globally and in Australia, Palfinger provides superior technical support, parts availability and after sales service.We currently have an opportunity for an experienced Fitter / Boilermaker to join our skilled Installations team based in Wacol.Key duties include
• Performing modifications and installations for new or used vehicle loading cranes and hook loaders
• Assembly and disassembly of vehicle loading cranes and hookloaders
• Assembly of RHS subframes in line with engineering specifications
• Assisting other workshop installation fitters with new crane or hookloader installs.
• Completion of all quality and process control documentation
• Installation of ancillary electrical, mechanical and or hydraulic components associated with pre delivery inspections or installations
• Always working in a safe manner and adhering to site policies and procedures in order to enhance the safety culture & performance of the site.To be successful, you will need :
• Prior experience working in a similar industry
• Hold a Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade, or equivalent;
• Experience working on heavy vehicles
• Experience with cranes and or hook loaders an advantage
• Ability to interpret drawings and procedures
• Have strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Have demonstrated ability to work safely
• Have good time management and work prioritisation skills
• Be able to work in a team
• Have a current Drivers licence, HR preferable;
• Be able to pass a pre-employment medical and a National Police Check.What's on offer :
