Overview

Engineering Manager role at TESS Search Partners .

Descends from Century Engineering, a market leader in delivering complex mechanical engineering solutions across the Mining, Defence, Water and Wastewater sectors. The Engineering Manager will oversee all engineering operations across the business, leading a high-performing team in the design, development and delivery of mechanical systems. The role has a strong focus on projects within the Defence and Mining sectors, as well as the delivery of essential infrastructure for Water and Wastewater industries. It combines strategic oversight, technical depth and people leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Base pay range

A$180,000.00 / yr - A$200,000.00 / yr

Responsibilities

Oversee all engineering operations across the business, leading a high-performing team in the design, development and delivery of mechanical systems.
Focus on projects within the Defence and Mining sectors, as well as the delivery of essential infrastructure for Water and Wastewater industries.
Combine strategic oversight, technical depth and people leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least ten years of engineering experience, including five years in a leadership capacity.

Experience in Mining and / or Defence projects, along with an understanding of mechanical systems design and fabrication.

Demonstrated success leading teams, managing high-value projects and strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

PE certification (or equivalent) and proficiency in CAD and PDM / PLM systems; Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) is highly regarded.
