Data Platform Engineer - Retail SaaS (Snowflake, SQL)

At ShopGrok, data is at the heart of what we do. We are scaling rapidly and investing heavily in the design and architecture of our data infrastructure to support growth. Your primary focus will be on SQL development in Snowflake and building robust data platforms that can handle increasing volume and complexity. You will also support our customers by ensuring data integrity and performance across our systems.

While this role is primarily backend-focused, experience with tools like Alteryx and Tableau, and comfort working with customers, are still valuable bonuses.

Experience working with retail data is a strong plus.

What you’ll do :

• Collaborate with the Founder, COO, and Data Engineering team to design and implement scalable data infrastructure.
• Focus on Snowflake SQL development, data modelling, and performance tuning.
• Lead platform redesign efforts to improve scalability, reliability, and automation.
• Support customer analytics teams by ensuring clean, accurate, and timely data.
• Maintain and enhance existing SQL datasets, pipelines, and workflows.
• Introduce new tools and practices to help us stay ahead as we grow.
• Work with our core stack : Snowflake (SQL) , GCP (Cloud) , with exposure to Alteryx (ETL) and Tableau (Visualisation) .
