Responsibilities

In this traineeship you will gain valuable administration skills, assisting with enquiries and requests from internal and external customers, building a strong foundation for a successful administrative career.

You will gain practical on-the-job experience while obtaining tertiary qualifications, completing a Certificate IV in Business Administration.

Qualifications

  • Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander descent and identifies as an Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander person and is accepted as such by the Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander community;
  • Completed year 10 certificate from 2022 and are 16 years or older;
  • Ability to undertake a Certificate IV in Business;
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of Microsoft Office, email and internet;
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing;
  • Demonstrated positive attitude to teamwork; willingness to learn and demonstrated initiative;
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing good customer service.

This position is identified for Aboriginal and / or Torres Strait Islander people and exemption is claimed under 14d of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977. Applicants must also meet the selection criteria for the position.

Remuneration

Hourly rate as per the Local Government (State) Award plus superannuation.
