Product Support Advisor

Base pay range : A$145,000 / yr - A$156,000 / yr. This range is provided by Austin Engineering Ltd.

Reporting to the Sales Manager in WA, this full-time Product Support Advisor role will be responsible for providing technical support and product expertise to Austin Engineering's mining equipment clients across Western Australia.

You will be based in our Perth office with regular site travel and play a key part in ensuring our customers receive exceptional service and get the most out of our industry-leading products.

What you'll be doing

Serving as the primary technical contact for clients, responding to inquiries and troubleshooting product issues in a timely manner

Providing training and guidance to customers on the proper operation and maintenance of our mining equipment

Liaising with our engineering and manufacturing teams to communicate customer feedback and requirements

Preparing technical documentation and user manuals to support the implementation and use of our products

Identifying opportunities to improve our product offerings and customer service based on client needs

Maintaining detailed records of all customer interactions and support activities

What we're looking for

Preferably, minimum 3 years' experience in a technical support or product advisor role, ideally within the mining equipment industry

Strong understanding of the design, operation and maintenance of heavy equipment used in mining and extractive applications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with clients

Ability and willingness to provide support to our resource clients outside of normal business hours over the phone, if required

Demonstrated ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical or product issues

Skilled at translating technical information into easy-to-understand guidance for customers

Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering or technical discipline such as boilermaker in heavy fabrication is highly regarded
