About the Role
This role will ensure the delivery of service to all airline customers in line with operational schedules and safety requirements while leading a team of Customer Delivery Drivers during shift. As the face of dnata catering on the tarmac, you will be responsible for correctly loading catering onto aircraft, driving hi‑lift trucks and transporting cargo to the aircraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in leading and coordinating the Customer Delivery team.
- Ensure productivity and performance criteria are met, including completion of regular performance assessments.
- Organise and coordinate work within the designated area of responsibility.
- Supervise catering trucks to ensure safe and timely loading onto aircraft.
- Perform all duties of a Driver.
- Train and induct team members across dispatch, loading bays, tarmac, parking and onboard aircraft.
- Allocate work within the Customer Delivery team.
- Maintain administrative documentation such as shift reports and rostering.
- Record training completion reports for all team members.
- Follow up on any discrepancies and ensure correct in‑flight meal loading.
- Provide regular updates on training delivery and completion to the Customer Delivery Manager and Corporate Standards and Training team.
Qualifications & Requirements
Clean MR or HR driver’s licence required.No incidents or accidents recorded on your file.Ability to perform frequent manual handling tasks.Flexibility to work around flight schedules.Good verbal and written communication skills.Annual police check refresher certificate required.Demonstrated hands‑on leadership and example‑leading at all times.Decision‑making and organisational skills to efficiently meet performance targets.Availability to work 38 hours per week as a full‑time permanent position.What’s in it for you?
