Overhead Transmission Line Site Manager
APPS is searching for a site‑based manager to join our team to assist with delivery of transmission line projects across NSW & QLD.
The Overhead Transmission Line Site Manager is responsible for leading teams across multiple sites carrying out the construction of overhead transmission lines from 132 kV to 500 kV.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage Overhead Transmission Line workers.
- Interpret technical drawings, network line diagrams, and maps.
- Ensure strict compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) procedures and enforce WHS requirements on workers.
- Work safely near live electrical apparatus.
- Operate plant and equipment safely near live electrical conductors and apparatus.
- Receive access permits and operate safely within the authority of the access permit.
- Manage pre‑work planning, risk assessments, and site preparation works to enable work to be completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Liaise with key internal and external contacts such as customers and contractors.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Project Manager, in line with the responsibilities for this role.
Qualifications
UET 30521 – Cert III in ESI - Transmission Overhead or recognised similar (preferred)Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar roleCertification in relevant safety courses, including MEWP operationAbility to read and interpret technical documentsStrong attention to detail and problem‑solving skillsPhysical Requirements
