Structural Design Engineer (Minimum 2 years experience)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Structural / Civil Engineer to join our energetic team at a developing engineering firm in Coolangatta on the Gold Coast. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including structural and remedial work for private clients and various contractors. The ideal candidate must be passionate about developing their skillset in structural / civil engineering and be ready to take on a challenging role with significant responsibilities.

NB Consulting Engineers is a boutique consultancy engineering firm located in Coolangatta specialising in Civil / Structural engineering for residential developments in and around the Gold Coast, as well as within Sydney. The Role

As a Design Engineer, you will manage smaller projects concurrently while providing support on larger projects, ensuring that each one is completed to a high standard.

Necessary Skills / Experience

This is a structural design Engineer role; 2 years of local or relevant engineering experience is required.
Strong technical knowledge and proficiency in engineering design software such as INDUCTA and Spacegass would be favourable.
Knowledge and understanding of Australian Standards and typical construction practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Willingness to access confined roof spaces when / if required.
Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Your responsibilities will include :

Structural design and detailing.

Preparing and writing remedial reports.

Conducting site inspections (initially with our senior engineers) and providing technical advice.

Liaising with Architects, clients, and contractors.

Ensuring compliance with all relevant Australian Standards & NCC requirements.

Managing project budgets and timelines.

Coordinating with other engineers and team members to ensure project success.
