Senior Consultant at Intuitive Recruitment

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Tax Group Corporate Accountant to join a leading financial services organisation. This is a key opportunity for a tax professional with strong corporate and group tax experience to step into a dynamic role with exposure to complex structures, international entities, and high-value transactions.

The Role

As part of the Group Finance and Tax team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing corporate tax compliance, advisory matters, and group-level tax reporting. You’ll work closely with senior finance leaders, business units, and external advisors to deliver accurate tax outcomes, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and contribute to strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and review group income tax returns, BAS, FBT, and other tax lodgements.
  • Oversee tax effect accounting, including preparation and review of monthly and year-end tax provisions.
  • Provide advice on corporate tax matters, including restructures, M&A, and cross-border transactions.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to ensure the business remains compliant while optimising tax strategies.
  • Support ATO audits, risk reviews, and liaise with external advisors on complex matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement in tax processes, controls, and reporting frameworks.

About You

  • CA / CPA qualified (or equivalent), with 5+ years’ experience in tax – ideally from Big 4 / mid-tier firms or financial services.
  • Strong technical knowledge of corporate tax and tax effect accounting.
  • Exposure to group consolidations, international tax, or funds management highly regarded.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at senior levels.
  • Proactive mindset with a strong commercial and strategic outlook.
