The IT Service Desk Team Leader role exists to manage the day-to-day operations of our centralised IT Service Desk, located in our global head office in South Brisbane. This permanent full-time role is critical to oversee and ensure the delivery of technology support services and operations so that end users can focus on what matters most – the provision of exceptional care to the community.

A key responsibility is to ensure the team is efficiently and effectively executing its operational deliverables, activities and tasks. There is also a strong focus on identifying, leading and driving continual improvement of all facets of the IT Service Desk service and operations. This is a leadership role in an organisation with more than 3500 employees and with numerous standard and bespoke software solutions, so we require an individual who can hit the ground running, provide effective team management, and rapidly build relationships across the organisation.

What you'll bring :

  • Leadership experience in an IT Support environment with a proven ability to keep a team engaged and motivated – ideally health industry
  • Experience working in an ITIL-driven environment and working knowledge of ITIL processes and practices (particularly Incident and Service Request Management)
  • Relevant qualifications in IT or related field
  • Working knowledge of common IT hardware, software and applications used within a corporate environment
  • Passion and dedication for service with an ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels within an organisation
  • Exception interpersonal skills with a proactive and curious mindset
