CCA New South Wales is a proactive, community-based organisation operating predominantly in the Northern Sydney District, providing a range of support and service programs to people living in our community.

  • About the role

Your new role as a Child, Youth and Family Worker, will be offered as a permanent Part time possition based at our Head Office, 12 Lakeside Rd, Eastwood NSW 2122.

  • What does your new role look like?
  • Supporting the implementation of a range of evidence-based projects which improve service delivery & contribute to better outcomes for children, young people, families & the community.
  • Implementing an efficient, flexible and expanded mix of services that align to people's needs. This will be achieved through four areas of effort :
  • Client Focus - client needs are at the centre and are the basis of our activities
  • A Lifespan approach - building long-term pathways through the service system, to support children, youth & families from disadvantaged backgrounds at critical periods in the trajectory of their life.
  • A service system with the right capacity - ensuring that the resources are available in ways that meet people's needs efficiently and at the right quality and time.
  • Effective Performance - striving for excellence and continuous improvement. All our programs have a strong evidence based and proven to work.
  • About You
  • Minimum of three years experience in a non-profit setting involving vulnerable children, young people and families or similar organisation;
  • Tertiary qualifications in Social / Community or Youth.
  • Current Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Knowledge of protective factors on child and youth development
  • Ability to relate to and work well with diverse children and youth
  • Ability to facilitate participants' learning of new knowledge and skills
  • Ability to respectfully engage the important adults in the participants' lives
  • Demonstrated ability to develop innovative practices, procedures, and creative solutions to problems
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and lead a team
  • Commitment to one's own learning, skill-building and professional development on the job
  • Ability to prepare quarterly and yearly plans that meet client's outcomes and are linked to organisational objectives
  • Strong presentation skills, and the ability to run groups
  • Strong report writing and statistical data collection
