Major meat processor requires a Leading Hand

The Company

Our client is a multi-million-dollar meat processing business with export-accredited facilities in Victoria and Tasmania. The business has grown over six generations to be a significant player in the Australian domestic and export meat industry. They are continually focused on staff training and aim to produce the best quality product according to customer's requirements and specifications.

Role

They are now looking for an experienced team leader for their boning room operation for their meat processing plant location in Victoria. Reporting to the Boning Room Supervisor you will be responsible for ensuring that beef is boned, sliced, and packed to company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Experience in a leading hand, boning room foreman or supervisor position is highly desirable however not essential,

Ability to implement production schedules and analyse production data

Train and guide staff on correct techniques, quality, and regulatory standards

Ensure that staff are following safe work practices and health and safety policies and guidelines

Requirements

Seasoned boning room employee who has been a leading hand or boning room foreman or supervisor

Prior experience in beef processing

Knowledge of the Aus-Meat Standards and HACCP procedures

Hands on" management style with a positive attitude and excellent verbal communication skills

You enjoy working as part of a team, are collaborative and share ideas.
