Product Manager - Electrical

Hidrive is looking for an innovative Product Manager - specialising in electrical - to join our team at either Sydney or Goulburn office.

The Product Manager - Electrical role is an important function within Hidrive. The position will manage the electrical portfolio of Hidrive’s range; understanding the market and strategically plan for new products and updates.

Hidrive Group is a 100% Australian owned company. Our business designs, manufactures and installs Hidrive Service Bodies for Light Commercial Vehicles. Hidrive Service Bodies are known for their reliability and quality. We pride ourselves on our innovative manufacturing process.

About you

This position is part of the Product & Innovation Department. To be successful in this role, you must hold a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or similar. You will also have at least three years proven experience in a product management environment. Experience in automotive electrical based accessories is an advantage, but not essential.

If you are proactive, organised and someone who works collaboratively within multiple teams (key working relationships exist between sales, marketing, supply chain, operations and customer care), this is the role for you.

Key Accountabilities

• Manage Item data, ensure it is up to date and accurate.
• Manage price lists and product updates and ensure change control PCNs are implemented.
• Develop MRD’s Define scope and deliverables for new products and product improvements.
• Understand the market and ensure that Hidrive remains competitive and market leader.
• Define application of new and existing products to ensure relevance in existing and future markets.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, supply chain, operations and customer care teams.
• Collaborate with Operations on new product or product changes and quality issues.
• Develop and maintain a product road map.
• Support, assess and complete product change notices (PCN) with the PCN owners.
• Create and implement product bulletins to notify internal customers.
• Manage Design Manual updates and maintain stock build specifications.
• Support costing of custom products to meet customers’ needs in alignment with the Product Focus matrix.
• Create reports on portfolio performance.
