Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Baker to join our Main Kitchen team in Baghdad, Iraq. As the Head Baker, you will lead our bakery operations, creating delicious baked goods while managing a team of skilled bakers.

Oversee daily bakery operations, ensuring high-quality products and efficient processesDevelop and implement new recipes, focusing on both local and international baking traditionsManage inventory, place orders, and maintain cost-effective operationsTrain and supervise bakery staff, fostering a positive and productive work environmentEnsure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain proper sanitation standardsCollaborate with other kitchen departments to support overall culinary operationsMonitor and maintain baking equipment, scheduling repairs as neededParticipate in menu planning and special event preparations

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of professional baking experience, with a proven track record in leadership rolesAdvanced knowledge of baking techniques, recipe development, and scalingProficiency in operating and maintaining various kitchen and bakery equipmentStrong understanding of food safety practices and current health regulationsExcellent inventory management and cost control skillsDemonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environmentExceptional time management and organizational skillsEffective communication abilities, both verbal and written
