Senior Systems Engineer

About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer to join our Surveillance & Communications Program based at Adelaide & Melbourne. You will report to the Systems Engineering Lead and contribute to our pioneering High Frequency (HF) technology projects.

We embrace flexible work arrangements such as a 9‑day fortnight and hybrid working. You will work with the Systems Team and cross‑disciplinary project design engineers (software, hardware, mechanical, etc.) to ensure a systems‑orientated, integrated approach to engineering development and verification activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide senior systems engineering input across all stages of the product life cycle, from requirements elicitation through to integration, test and acceptance.
• Determine appropriate requirement sets for use in HF products.
• Utilise domain, discipline and systems engineering knowledge to support and deliver robust products that meet their requirements and are fit for purpose.
• Perform analyses to define and characterise the system and its components.
• Create test plans and procedures in support of the system verification and validation program.
• Provide support to the product integration team and, when required, direct or conduct factory acceptance test activities within our local facilities in Adelaide and Melbourne.
• Provide direction on systems engineering best practice to determine required outputs and successfully achieve project outcomes.
• Mentor and guide more junior team members.
• Create and manage systems engineering artefacts within the Jazz suite of requirements management tools (DOORS Next and ETM) and the MBSE tool Cameo Systems Modeler.
