Production Worker/Forklift Operator

About the Role

We are currently seeking reliable and safety-conscious Production Workers/Forklift Operators to join a well-established and reputable chemical manufacturing business based in Gillman, SA. Reporting directly to the Production Team Leader, you will be required to work across various areas within the production department.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive team and contribute to a critical part of the chemical manufacturing and packing process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick and return bulk materials and packaging for repacking operations
• Pack goods (solids or liquids) according to safe work practices and procedures
• Operate mechanical filling and associated equipment (e.g. capping machines, labelling machines)
• Pack bulk chemical solutions accurately and safely
• Set up packing equipment and perform basic maintenance as required
• Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others

To be successful, you will have:

• A valid Forklift Licence
• Ability to read and understand basic instructions and follow procedures
• A strong commitment to workplace safety and quality
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• A reliable, self-motivated, and positive attitude
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Physical fitness to meet the demands of manual handling work
• Proven experience working safely and responsibly in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
